Sapierra is a brand inspired by the history of human evolution.

Imagined and created by Ryad (artistic director, filmmaker, and photographer) and his mother Schéhrazade (prehistoric archaeologist and palynologist), both fascinated by the long and fabulous evolution of the human lineage.

This collaboration gave birth to SAPIERRA, a reflection of Homo sapiens in their environment (Sapiens in their Terra).

Homo sapiens is a species of primates belonging to the family of hominids, originating from Africa, the cradle of humanity. It is the only surviving member of the great human diversity (Australopithecus, Homo erectus, Homo habilis, Homo neanderthalensis, and Homo sapiens). It subsequently colonized all the continents of the planet.

It is important to understand that Homo sapiens has always been a social being and that clothing has played an important role in communication and social identity since the creation of the eyed needle (made of bone).

Clothing has evolved over time to meet the needs and preferences of individuals, as well as climatic and cultural conditions.

Today, fashion and fashion trends are a means for individuals to express themselves and stand out in their society.

We believe that modern fashion is often superficial and disconnected from our human essence and that we can learn a lot from the simple and sustainable way of life of prehistoric humans.

SAPIERRA is a means of expressing our identity and belonging to a group, just as our ancestors did throughout prehistory.
